I have been a councillor close on 14 years and I’m passionate and committed to all things Kings Hill, to making it the very best for all that live and work here. I joined the council to make a positive difference and to preserve the environment for future generations. Kings Hill has been great to me, so this is my way of giving back.

I joined Kings Hill Parish Council 5 years ago due to my concern of the Large Building Programme, and for me, its about attempting to give something back to the community. I have enjoyed helping residents with their querries / issues and pointing them in the right direction. During my time with the Parish Council I have been on numerous sub committees i.e. Climate Change / Planning / Local Plan / Reg 18.

I have lived on Kings Hill since 2008 and have brought up children in the village as well as being an active community volunteer involved in youth, church, school, local residents group and more, before joining the parish council in 2021. I am passionate about residents being more involved in shaping the future of Kings Hill and I like that the parish council is playing an increasing role in facilitating this. I’ve so far been involved in the local plan working group and event and communications team.

I first joined the Council 4 years ago and after a short break, was co-opted back on in October 2022. As well as giving back to the Community through the Council, I participate in a number of other Community activities, as a member of the golf club, the local gym and as a Committee member of a local cycling club. All of these allow me to interface with different members of the King’s Hill Community. I also enjoy helping residents in any way I can, through the full Council and the Committees I am on.

I believe that if you benefit from the work of an organisation and if circumstances allow you should be prepared to get involved in the continuation and development of that organisation. I have been a Kings Hill Resident since 2006. I served as a Student Union President, volunteered in local government initiatives. I served on the Committee of Kings Hill Gold Club Men’s section and was Club Captain in 2019 so have a good working experience of ‘committee life’. I have connected with local sporting and community clubs including Kings Hill Cricket Club and Kings Hill Tennis Club and have been inspired by the efforts, drive and enthusiasm shown by volunteers in these organisations. I have worked for globally recognised brands as well as small family firms and SME’s. I have a strong record in delivering change and getting the best out of people through listening and where necessary asking and answering difficult or challenging questions. Kings Hill Parish Council’s statement of purpose is ‘Enhancing the lives of the Kings Hill Community’ and I will play demonstrable part in delivering this ambition.

I first moved to Kings Hill 25 years ago and have watched our community grow into the great place it is today. My family are also residents, and so we have 3 generations involved in the differing aspects of what this neighbourhood has to offer.
I have represented Kings Hill at Parish level in the past, and more recently as a Borough Councillor with Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council for more than 6 years. During that time I held a Cabinet position for 4 years but stood down to become Deputy Mayor.
The Parish Council has evolved in recent times and I look forward to being part of it and helping to deliver for our residents.

I joined the Parish Council to participate in local decisions that affect Kings Hill, a community that I have had the privilege of being part of since 1999.
The Parish Council deals with grassroot issues that matter to residents’ daily lives, as well as playing an important role in ensuring that local voices are heard at high levels of government. I am passionate about the work that we do and committed to furthering Parish Council engagement with the community.

My wife and I have lived on Kings Hill for over 20 years. Both my children and grandchildren live on Kings Hill so it’s fair to say we all love living here.
Professionally I spent 20 years working in senior management both in the UK and Overseas on various planning and project management projects. The last 20 years, before my semi-retirement, I started up a local kitchen company which has grown to be one of the largest independent kitchen companies in the UK. All these experiences have led me to develop a wide and diverse set of skills which I hope will benefit the Parish Council and our community.

My wife and I have been residents of Kings Hill since 1995 and raised our family here. I can often be seen out on my bike, walking the family dog, or enjoying a round of golf at Kings Hill Golf Club, where I have been a past captain.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, I have operated at board level as a Chief Operating Officer and Chairman. Although now semi‑retired, I continue to work on dispute resolution cases. My previous experience in large‑scale, mixed‑use development—from land acquisition and planning through to assessment management—brings relevant insight to the Council’s work and sharpens my focus on due diligence and sustainable development. I look forward to contributing my local commitment to help shape a thriving future for Kings Hill.
